Americade: What’s It All About?

For over 20 years, Lake George has been the host of Americade. Since it was started in 1983, Americade has grown into the world’s largest motorcycle touring rally with over 50,000 riders each year, and many others who gather together for a weeklong event of fun.

 

Let’s face it –there is nothing quite like watching (and listening!) to thousands of motorcycles thunder through the streets. While locals may occasionally complain about the noise, this spectacular weeklong event is a favorite for many.

 

Some of the highlights from the week include the ever popular demos, along with the fun and exciting TourExpo. Let’s explore a few exciting things that Americade has to offer. Find out why you should be here, and see how you can take part in the action!

 

TourExpo

The TourExpo is the largest single site motorcycle expo in the US. This expo includes access to the country’s largest factory demo area, including as many as 15 different factory demo teams, with plenty of freebies. The Americade TourExpo only allows the best vendors to show up, so you know it’s going to be good.

 

Events

Americade has more off-the-bike events than any other event in the U.S. From comedy shows, and boat cruises, to BBQ dinners, parties and more, there’s no shortage of excitement to be had at Americade. This year also features a new concert series with nationally known artist Aaron Lewis headlining. And don’t miss out on the biking events. There are stunt shows, bike lighting contests, motorcycle judging and contests, and so much more. You won’t have a chance to get bored!

 

Demos

The demos are one of the most popular events at Americade. The great thing about the demos is that they give you a chance to test out and ride the bike of your dream, while being able to talk to experts and ask questions before making any final purchases. But you have to be quick –the demo slots fill up quickly and if you want to ride, you need to get there early. Make sure you have the proper paperwork and riding gear before you show up!

The date for this year’s Americade is June 1-6 with various activities and events, shows, and more going on every day.
